Fairy TAIL Fibers zijn Fair. Al onze wol is mulesing vrij. wij gebruiken zoveel mogelijk Europese wol van Europese schapen. Verwerkt in Europese fabrieken tot het halffabricaat lontwol. Wij selecteren op zachtheid en lengte van de vezels.
Witte wol wordt geverfd en daarna verkocht als handgeverfde lontwol.
Daarnaast verven we de wol ook nog eens zo duurzaam mogelijk, met non toxische ingredienten en zo min mogelijk fossiele energie.
Van deze gekleurde wol worden ook batts gedraaid. Deze zijn ook te koop in de shop of tijdens events.
Als we zwarte wol nodig hebben gaan we dat niet verven, maar gebruiken we zwarte shetland lamswol. Deze is prachtig zwart van nature en wordt in de industrie niet gebruikt, jammer genoeg.
Geen museling tijdens het scheren. Kleine boeren, met liefde voor hun schapen zorgen samen met Fairy TAIL voor de zachtste kleurigste duurzame warme vezels die je maar kan spinnen.

Fairy TAIL Fibers are Fair Fibers. Our wool is mulesing free. We use the wool of European sheep, 26micron or even softer. Processed in European factories, so there is not much transport. We use the roving for all our spinning wool products and handspun yarns. We select on softness and fiber length. The wool is good for first time spinners.
Dyeing of White wool
White wool gets died and sold as handdyed roving.
This dyed wool also gets turned into batts for spinning. These and the roving are for sale in the SHOP or at events.
We dye our wool as sustainably as possible. We use non toxic dyes and as little fossile energy to warm the wool during the dyeing process.
Black Wool of Black Shetland Sheep
All the black wool we use doesn’t get dyed at all. The wool we use is from naturally black shetland lambs and super soft and rich in colour. The wool industry doesn’t want to use this beautifull fiber, but we certainly do!
