These braids of super delicious roving were dyed in the solar oven, just before autumn came and there still was enough sunlight. Northern Lights are made to resemble the colours of Aurora Borealis in the Northern Hemisphere.
We dyed them on 4 different types wool and wool blends.
The Northern Lights dyed on Merino Bamboo blend comes in braids of 150 gram or more. The other wool types are braids of the regular 100 grams.
It is nice to ply a Firestar braid with a Merino braid for extra depth and sparkle. All combinations are possible.
Merino Bamboo blend is made to be combined with braid of the month September: Autumn Fairies that also comes in 150 gram braids.
